Messe Dusseldorf

Getting to the conference center

Messe Dusseldorf is a trade fair and exhibition center that hosts more than 50 high-profile international trade fairs and events annually, including Medica, a large and important medical conference.

The center was built in 1971, though it traces its history back to the founding of Dusseldorf's Trade Fair Organization in 1947. It boasts more than 16 events spaces ranging from 4,000 to 25,000 square meters in size. Spaces available for rent include meeting rooms, conference rooms and press suites, as well as larger exhibition spaces. These spaces have hosted international trade shows for the medicine, hospitality and construction sectors and even the 1993 Davis Cup Final.

Over 1.5 million visitors are said to attend trade fairs at the Messe each year, while another 2,800 take part in press conferences, meetings and other events.

Getting to the conference center
This gigantic venue is conveniently located at Stockumer Kirchstabe 61, just an 8-minute drive from the International Airport. Visitors can get to the venue from the airport by taxi or by public transportation via the no. 896 bus.

The trade center is also easily accessed from downtown. During events, bus, subway and tram services from the city are increased to make travel to the arena even easier. A tram ride from the center should only take 15 minutes.
