Radisson Blu Hotel, Klaipeda

Klaipeda Old Town

The historic Old Town is one of the city’s most intriguing areas. A stroll down charming streets leads to fascinating examples of medieval Germany’s characteristic Fachwerk-style architecture. In this oldest part of Klaipėda, you’ll also find fragments of castle fortifications that date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. As you walk along the river Dane and approach Klaipėda’s main bridge, you’ll come upon the impressive, newly resorted Meridianas sailing vessel. A symbol of the city, Meridianas was built in Finland in 1948 and restored in 2014. It is now among Klaipėda’s most prominent attractions.
