Helsinki Zoo
Founded in 1889, Helsinki Zoo is one of the world’s oldest zoos. Helsinki Zoo has developed into an active and memorable nature centre. The Helsinki Zoo keeps about 150 animal species from Amur leopard to parakeets and hundreds of plants. Over half a million visitors visit Helsinki Zoo annually.

Helsinki Zoo is located close to the Helsinki city centre. Easily travel there with public transport, bike or boat from Kauppatori Marketplace or Hakaniemi.

Helsinki Amusement Park
The Helsinki Amusement Park has over 40 rides for children and adults. The Linnanmäki Amusement Park offers a fun family day and includes some of the oldest rides in Linnanmäki, namely the Carousel and Vuoristorata. The Carousel has been at the park since 1896, and the Vuoristorata is a wooden roller coaster that was built in 1951.

Linnanmäki continues to improve their park by adding something new every year. Young children can enjoy carousels, Ferris wheels, play areas with a glass maze and a fun house.

The Peacock Theatre, Sea Life Helsinki and many restaurants are also in the area. For its final week of operation, the amusement park stages the Carnival of Light, which includes performances and live music as a send off for the year. All profits go toward Finland’s Children Day Foundation, allowing families to have fun while contributing to a good cause.

Hietaniemi Beach

Iso Omena is located in Matinkylä, Espoo and is close to the Helsinki city centre. From the Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel, Helsinki, it is easy to get to Iso Omena by public transportation or by car. Parking is free and after shopping, the whole family can see a movie at the Finnkino Omena Theatre.

Sello is one of the largest shopping centres in the area with over 170 stores dedicated to fashion, décor, dining and more. Visit the library, see a movie or enjoy a concert in Sellosali. If you desire more, there is also a bowling alley, nightclub and pubs in which to spend time with family or friends.

Guests staying at the Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel, Helsinki can take a bus or train from the city centre to Sello, which is in Leppävaara, Espoo. You can also drive there and utilise the five hours of free parking available.
